‘Ert;’ (2018) Screen print on plywood with laser engraving was selected by The Royal Society of Painter-Printmaker for The Masters: Screen & Stone exhibition at Bankside Gallery, London and for which Lauren was awarded The Great Art Prize 2018.

Lauren Curl is an artist and printmaker based in Bristol, UK.

As a process-based artist, Lauren’s work is rooted in the physicality of making, often evolving from found collages from our everyday environment which illuminate and bear witness to the traces of human activity.

Graduating with distinction from BA (Hons) Fine Art Printmaking from Cardiff School of Art in 2008, Lauren is currently undertaking an MA Multidisciplinary Printmaking at the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. She has exhibited in the UK, Greece, Mexico and China.

In 2017 she undertook an artist residency in Mexico focused on exploring natural pigments and binders for screen printing. Read her project blog on the Artists Information Company website.
